More about David Jacobs...

He was first introduced to flying at the age of 8 when an old family friend took him for a ride in a J3 Cub on floats off of the Red River. He was hooked!

He's been flying himself since the early 70's, starting with the Soaring Club in Cold Lake, Alberta, achieving the Sports Class Championship in 1975. He soon purchased his first plane, a Cessna 140 after getting his Private Pilot's license in 1978, his Commercial Pilots license in 1984 and Float and Night Endorsements in 1985. He has been a fully qualified Ultralight Commercial Flight Instructor since 1989.

Dave started flying ultralights in 1979, and soon started an ultralight flight school and dealership. He's been closely involved with ultralights ever since, as a partner in an ultralight/homebuilt manufacturing company from 1979 until 1986. He was also instrumental in the creation of the Manitoba Ultralight Association of which he is currently Chief Flying Instructor.
